Someone wants leading scientist Rollie Gavilan out of the picture for a few days. It’s an easy job, one with no bloodshed which is why former soldier turned merc Dayton Vann takes it. He’s had enough of that kind of life and this last job is his meal ticket out.

Trouble is, the easy job turns out not to be easy at all, not when his ‘employers’ decide that they’d be better off with Rollie out the way for good. Day’s not having that on his watch, but keeping the scientist safe from harm is turning into a full time job. As is guarding his own hardened heart from her tentative advances…
